Perhaps people should read the Scientific American, Dec 13, 2007 issue or google for "coal radiation", 1st link.

The radiation released by any coal plant is contained within the fly ash, it is more than 100* that of any nuclear power plant for the same amount of power produced.

On the thorny issue of solar cells payback. The anti solar people will say nasty things like solar never pays back its own energy costs, I wouldn't stoop to that. The industry says 1-2 yr is reasonable, so I will take 1 yr. The industry also says panels last at least...

Well, if we take a look at the price, Kindle Fire seems like a good alternative to iPad. But iPad has really established itself in the market so I think it will still be at the top of the game.
